Using the most current Concrete Form HDO technology, our Crown Alkamax employs a proven Melamine HDO that can better stand up to high-alkalinity concrete mixes and is the most durable panel in the Crown Performance Panel product lineup.
Features & Benefits
Crown Alkamax is constructed with high strength Douglas fir inner plies with smooth, durable hardwood face and back veneer. The high resin content Melamine HDO is applied in a one-step process. All adhesives used are fully waterproof phenolic resins that meet APA exterior glue bond standards.
Available in 48” x 96” and 24” x 96” in 5/8” to 3/4” thickness
APA Certified Panel
Crown Alkamax Hardwood panels are engineered to be Struc-1 equivalent and meet or exceed APA’s PS 1-09 for HDO Concrete Form.Melamine HDO

A durable hardwood veneer is used for the face and back providing a smoother pouring surface and a more durable panel than traditional softwood panels.
Two Piece Inner Plies
Our two piece, Douglas fir inner ply construction method is engineered to provide a more solid panel that can better stand up to job site wear and tear.Multi-Layer Edge Protection
For additional moisture protection, all panels are edge puttied and then coated with a silver, aluminized, resin-rich alkyd edge seal.Factory-Applied Release Agent
For safety reasons, Crown Alkamax does not come factory coated with release agent. Prior to each use, application of Nox-Crete or equivalent release agent is required.
